How to play

A fast, high-energy name game where students pair up with a different partner for each of five movements. By the end everyone knows at least five names, which makes it a great warm-up for new or large groups.

  1. Spread students out across the space.
  2. Call a movement; each student introduces themselves to someone new and does that move with them, saying their partner's name.
  3. Squat jump: squat, jump and high ten in the air. Push up: push up facing each other, then two hand slaps at the top.
  4. Sit up: lock legs and do a partner sit up with a high ten. Star jump: jump facing each other.
  5. Special: find a new partner and create a unique movement together.
  6. Once everyone has five partners, call the movements out fast so students run to find the right partner.
