How to play
Students each get a coin and tell a story about something that happened in the year it was made. A research version turns it into a lesson on finding information.
- Sit students in a circle and give each a coin; make sure the dates are relevant to them.
- Each student looks at the date and shares something they did or that happened to them that year.
- Research version: give coins made before students were born.
- Allow ten minutes to research something exciting from the year on their coin.
- Have students report their findings back to the class.
You need: Coins made in different years
