How to play
A partner card game where each flip makes a fraction and the bigger fraction wins the cards. Students compare fractions over and over without it feeling like practice.
- Remove the picture cards; aces are worth one, other cards their normal value.
- Put students in pairs and divide the deck evenly, face down.
- Each student flips their top two cards, placing the lower number over the higher to make a fraction.
- The greater fraction takes all four cards; for a tie, flip again and the winner takes all eight.
- When cards run out, shuffle in won cards and keep playing until one student has them all.
You need: A deck of cards with picture cards removed
