How to play
A brains-and-brawn challenge where every number written into a Sudoku earns an exercise. It suits a numeracy fitness session or a short break between lessons, and puzzle difficulty and reps can be adjusted for any age.
- Give each student a Sudoku challenge sheet and a pen.
- Students start in a static hold and work on their puzzle.
- Each number they add means completing that number's exercise, for example 1 is 20 squat thrusters, 2 is 20 push ups.
- After the exercise, they take that number's static hold, such as plank or squat hold, and return to the puzzle.
- The first to complete the Sudoku correctly wins.
- Adjust the reps or the Sudoku difficulty to suit your class.
