Turn any game into a rescue quiz

What does the ⚡ Quiz power-ups toggle do?

3 MIN READ

Five games — Greedy Pig, Target 21, Skull & Roses, Treasure Rush and Streak Builder — have a ⚡ Quiz power-ups toggle on their setup screen. Turn it on and once per round, at the game’s worst moment — the rolled 1, the jammed vault, the second skull — a rescue question appears on the board. Answer it right and the moment is taken back. Wrong, or out of time, and it stands.

The question never interrupts a game going well. It only ever appears at a moment the class was already groaning about, which is exactly when thirty children are most motivated to get one answer right.

  1. On the setup screen of any of the five games, turn on ⚡ Quiz power-ups.
  2. Pick a bank: a ready-made starter pack for your year band, or one of your own.
  3. Play as normal. When the moment of loss hits, the rescue question appears — once per round.
  4. Every reveal shows the correct answer and a one-line explanation, win or lose, so every question teaches.

Build your own bank at classbreak.app/class-play/banks. Type questions in, or paste a whole list straight from a spreadsheet — one question per line, a star marks the right answer — and most teachers have a playable bank in under a minute. Your saved banks appear in the setup screen’s bank picker on every device you sign in on.

WORTH KNOWING

After the game, a digest lands in the Bank Builder: how the class did by topic and by question. It shows you what to reteach — it never shows scores by child, because it does not store any.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO

Quiz power-ups currently run on the projector (single-screen) version of the five games. In live phone rooms the toggle does not fire yet.
