How to play
A whole-class mental maths showdown where pairs in a circle race to add the dice you roll. Nobody sits out: each win scores a point for a team, and doubling or halving a ten-sided dice makes it harder.
- Have everyone stand in a circle, split into two halves as teams.
- Two students from opposite teams face off; roll the dice and both add the numbers and call out the answer.
- The faster correct answer scores a point for that team. Both students stay in the game.
- Roll again for the next two students around the circle, and keep going until everyone has had several turns.
- To make it harder, roll a ten-sided dice and have students double it (a 6 gives 12) or halve it.
You need: 2 dice or 1 ten-sided dice
