There is a daily cap so one account cannot run up an unlimited bill, and free accounts get a small lifetime allowance to try it properly before subscribing.
Refining something you have already made is free for the first few passes on that item, so fixing a draft never costs you the same as starting again.
WORTH KNOWING
If a generation fails or you cancel it, it is not counted against you.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
Studio refuses anything involving a named child, anything that reads as a safeguarding disclosure, and topics that are not appropriate to hand to a class. It will tell you why rather than quietly producing something bland.
