How to play

Students spend five minutes building a LEGO model of something they are grateful for from the past year, then present it to the group. Creativity and reflection combine to build community and appreciation.

  1. Set up a large table or area with piles of assorted LEGO bricks.
  2. Briefly explain gratitude and the purpose of the activity.
  3. Give students 5 minutes to build something that has made their heart sing in the last 12 months.
  4. Have each student present their model and explain what it represents, with a brief Q&A after each.
  5. Optionally, let students guess the gratitude in others' models.
  6. Display the models and finish with a group discussion about sharing and reflecting on gratitude.

You need: A large assortment of LEGO bricks, A timer, A display table or space
