Run your first game in three minutes

I've just signed up — what do I actually do?

2 MIN READ

You do not need to prepare anything, and you do not need student devices. The fastest route from a cold start to a class that is laughing is about three minutes, and most of that is the game itself.

  1. Open Class Play and pick any game. Greedy Pig is the one most teachers start with — the whole rule is "roll the die, a 1 loses it all".
  2. Choose SINGLE SCREEN. Everyone plays off the projector, no phones involved.
  3. Set the number of rounds. Three is right for a five-minute break; five fills a proper brain break.
  4. Press START. The class stands up.
  5. Roll. Anyone who wants to keep their points sits down. Anyone still standing when it busts loses that round.
WORTH KNOWING

Say the rule out loud once and then start. Every game on the roster is designed to be explainable in one sentence, and children understand it faster by playing a round than by being told.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO

ClassBreak will not mark anything or generate a grade. It is a break, an energiser and a wellbeing check — not an assessment tool.
