“How do students join a live game?”

Students go to classbreak.app/join and type the four-character code on your board, or scan the QR code beside it. There is no app to install and no account to make.
- Start a live game. The code and QR appear on the board immediately.
- Say the code out loud as well as showing it — a child at the back cannot always read a projector.
- Watch the names appear. Anyone who mistypes the code simply never appears, so a missing name means a wrong code, not a broken phone.
- Start when you have enough. Latecomers can still join after the game begins.
WORTH KNOWING
If a child closes their tab or their phone locks, they can rejoin with the same code and get their score back — their seat is remembered on that device for six hours.
CAREFUL
Student names are screened for anything inappropriate before they reach the board. If something still gets through, tap the name on the projector to remove that player at any point in the game, not just in the lobby.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
The QR image is generated by an outside service. If your school blocks it, the four-character code always works — read it out instead.
