Work through these in order — the first two account for almost all of it.
- Check the code. It is four characters and O and 0 look alike on a projector — read it out rather than pointing at it.
- Check they are on classbreak.app/join and not searching for it, which lands them somewhere else.
- If they typed a name that was rejected, they will have been asked to pick a different one. Ask them what it said.
- If the QR code will not scan, ignore it and type the code. Some schools block the service that generates the image.
- If they were in and dropped out, get them to rejoin with the same code on the same device — their score comes back.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
A student cannot join from a device with no browser, and a live room cannot be run half on phones and half without. If devices are patchy, run single screen instead.
