How to play
Uno with a wellbeing twist. Each card played prompts a gentle sharing challenge linked to its colour or type, building trust and understanding in small groups. Best with a class that already knows each other well.
- Make groups of 2 to 4. Shuffle an Uno deck, deal seven cards each and turn the top card to start.
- Play Uno as normal, matching number, colour or symbol.
- Number cards: share something linked to the colour, e.g. red frustration, blue calm, green growth, yellow happiness.
- Skip: a time you helped someone feel included. Reverse: something you'd do differently. Draw Two: a busy time you coped with.
- Wild: a change you adapted to. Wild Draw Four: something you are proud of managing.
- Sharing is always optional; anyone can say 'pass' and just play the card.
- When a player runs out of cards, reflect together on what you learned about empathy.
